Very interesting movie, first one I saw by Darren Aranofsky. Great music!

Also check out Pi by the same director, also really good. Didn't care too much for The Fountain though. The Wrestler was brilliant - though a really different type of move than Aranofsky's earlier work.

I've watchd it while I was stoned. One of the most disturbing experience of my life next to "Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom". I was crying and disgusted at the end scene which simply is a nightmare. I would resume it as a good really bad moment.

A brilliant, hard-hitting movie. It shows the slow, slippery slide into drug addiction that can easily effect anyone if one doesn't keep their wits about them. The slightest personality quirk or unbalanced emotion can start the trip that ends only at the grave. I may never be able to watch this movie again. But it has certainly used cinematography to portray a story that should be told. Brilliant!

Besides the obvious learnt lesson "don't do drugs", I loved how the movie explored the theme without trying to make it pretty, it is what it is... the decadence of human kind, how messed up someone's life could turn out to be... I thought Ellen Burstyn was brilliant, it was clearly my favorite character, I felt so bad for her... I couldn't really relate to any of the junk stuff of the other 3, but she was so sweet and innocent and one could really feel her fear!

I saw this movie after seeing Trainspotting, and this seems to me a version that is more sad, the two films are around drugs and are great, but this is not as entertaining as the other, this one is more realistic, which makes me like more Trainspotting
