IMDb import isn't working for me. I cleared my cache. Can anyone else confirm if it is working for them?

I was about to complain that I couldn't access more than the first 50 movies on the list, couldnt favorite a personal list, and assumed you made that only for paid users but I did the Ctrl-F5 and that fixed it. So I will say that I can get used to this and some of the features do interest me.

Thanks for the updates!

For free users that are complaining about only being able to create one personal list of our own, note that there is a new feature where we are able to favorite other user's personal lists. In time, I suspect that most of the lists we would want to make will show up here, making the issue moot.

i'm hard pressed to say that this looks better than this.

in fact, i think if you compare any page or design feature from 2.0 with its corresponding page or design in 1.0, you'll have the same problem. everything in 1.0 looks better and works better than everything in 2.0.

make all icons smaller and more compact (like 1.0). get rid of so many tabs (and unnecessary scrolling/clicking). consolidate if you can (e.g. comments on movie pages/blog posts). get rid of awkward and ugly blocks of needless text (e.g. the partial list descriptions to the right of the checked/total numbers). the dash is worthless right now; put the old 1.0 category list on the dash or at least on the bottom of the profile page. get rid of the noise and the chaos.

also, ignore the impulse to just discount our criticism because "the internet just hates change" or whatever. i feel people have made very good and lengthy arguments as to why exactly 1.0 works better. you should take all of this into serious consideration.

I think the personal list limit is a very big mistake and I REALLY miss the old movie overview.

I wish it was enough with a donate button. whatever, I don't like to use a trial version of this site.

So from now ICM is an alternative of http://www.jinni.com for me.

btw, spartacus comment is true. At first, i think that in internet most people hate changes untill they get used to them, probably with ICM 2.0 it'll happen the same.

I know there's a lot of bugs out there, but in general, i think ICM 2.0 is great: I really like the new filters and search options, and "personal lists" give the site a whole new level. Bugs and errors will be fixed with time i think. My support for you guys, keep up the good work!

I think the new design is terrific. It's a lot easier to quickly see what I have left to check (and what I already have checked).

Don't let the negative comments get you down -- everyone on the internet hates change. (look at Facebook) There are a few bugs as always, but the new design is overall a big improvement :)

Oh wow, what a mess.

Why are the comments now on a separate page? That doesn't help anyone.

Why are the official lists a total pain to browse through, unless you’re looking in "progress"?

Really, I have to pay money to add a movie to my watch list from the search results?

My advice: Movies on lists (official lists, search results, etc) are too big. Make them smaller so it’s easier to see more without having to scroll.

Put the comments on the same page as the movie/news/list.

Have a list of the most popular movies on the front page is pointless, as there’s a list for that already, and the movies aren’t likely to change.

The paid account features actually need to be worth money. Marking movies as owned? I can do that on Blu-Ray.com for free, and even there it’s superior as I can choose specific versions, and record when the last time I watched it was.

Well, at least they didn't put advertisements all over the place...

Oh, and a strange glitch happened. Gone With The Wind completely disappeared from my watchlist, and the top movie in that list (Sunset Blvd.) was now numbered "2", even though Gone With The Wind wasn't the No. 1 I had on that list.

EDIT: But I do like the ability to edit comments now.

@fungus: You can search for an IMDb number if you remove the tt. Of course, it would be better if it worked with or without the tt.

You can use this bookmarklet to search for movies more easily:

javascript:(function(){window.open('http://www.icheckmovies.com/search/movies/?query='+location.href.split('tt').reverse()[0],'_self');})()

First, add the bookmarklet to your bookmarks toolbar. Then search for the movie on IMDb. From the IMDb page, click the bookmarklet to search for the movie on iCM. The movie that you're looking for will be the only result.

First of all, thank you for your great efforts in trying to improve the site. I really liked most of the things I saw until now in 2.0. However, I will have to get acquainted with the new design. I really like the new progress site showing how many movies are missing to bronze, silber, gold and platinum. On the other side I think it is hard to notice in the lists, which movies you already favorited, disliked etc. The color difference is to small in my opinion.
What I really don't like is the fact that you can't search for IMDB-number anymore. Until now, I could e.g. type tt0031647 into the search field and I got the right movie even if it was a title owned by many movies. This doesn't work anymore. I don't know if it just got forgotten or if you deliberately removed this functionality. I really would appreciate it, if you could reinstate this. It might even calm down the users complaining about the 10 movies per search rule. If they can search with the IMDB-number, the limit shouldn't be a problem.
Again, thank's a lot and I'm looking forward to fully explore the new site.

Why not just let free users get the old search funtion? Anyways, all you need to do is search with the IMDb link. A lot of extra work of course, but so far it's the only way.
